HOW DO I BOOK AN ADVENTURE?

If you already know roughly where you want to go, simply go to our Adventure Tours page and search by location. Easy.


If you don't know where you want to go yet but know you want to join an exciting tour, let us inspire you. See the traveller photos throughout our website on the tours' pages, on social media or search our blog for informative destination ideas. Our Instagram is usually a great source of F.O.M.O. inducing pics.

IS THERE AN UPPER OR LOWER AGE LIMIT?

We currently offer our tours to those aged 18 - 39. This is mainly due to insurance or other factors outside of our control. We'd love to be able to offer tours to all ages and this is something we are working on behind the scenes. Subscribe (here) to be the first to hear about when we do!

DO I NEED MY OWN TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Yes, yes and yes. We and our partners care a tremendous amount about your safety and all tour leaders are experienced locally and qualified to keep you safe.


However, because our tours by their very nature are adventures and are all over the world, we cannot guarantee accidents won't happen. For this reason and a multitude of others you already know about (including delayed or missed flights etc.), personal comprehensive travel insurance is a MUST which covers injury/death, medical, repatriation and all other potential travel related problems including but not limited to loss of baggage, missed departures etc.

If you try to join a tour without adequate insurance you may be asked to acquire it on arrival if you have not done so prior to leaving home. Travel Insurance tends to be more expensive that way so we strongly suggest you get appropriate insurance before you leave your home country. Make sure you read the policy wording carefully to see what is covered and what is excluded!

WILL I NEED SPENDING MONEY?

The short answer is yes.


Whilst tours typically offer all mid-tour accommodation and lots of inclusive trips, transport, food, drinks and other bits*, you will need some cash on the hip - it is for you to decide how much money to take as this depends on your spending habits. We are of course very happy to give you an idea, but ultimately its up to you.

We suggest taking a travel card (rather than cash) and are happy to give our opinion on the best travel card available to you based on your destination country or region. Just ask!


*Due to the dynamic nature of tours on offer, inclusions/exclusions vary. Please see your tour's description as to what is specifically included/ excluded from your tour.

WILL I NEED TRAVEL VACCINATIONS?

This really isnt for us to say definitively. The answer is partly dependent on your destination(s) and it can also be a personal choice (i.e. it may not be absolutely necessary because of such a small risk, but you may want to eliminate that 0.01% of risk). We are happy to tell you what we would do if we were the ones travelling to the destination(s), but please speak with your GP as they are a health professional and qualified to give you advice where we are not.

VISAS

Obtaining the correct visas for your trip is your own responsibility. Not having correct visas could lead to you missing out on part (or all) of your trip. You should also double check with the appropriate embassies before you depart, remembering that visa requirements can change at short notice.


Depending on your nationality, you may not require a visa to visit certain countries as long as you do not stay longer than a permitted amount of time. However, DO NOT assume this is the case and make sure that if you have the correct visa for whichever country you are visiting.

Please note: For most countries where visas are required, it's NOT possible to obtain a visa while on the trip. Some visas take 3-4 weeks to obtain.


TRAVELBUG Tours are happy to provide customers with general guidance regarding obtaining the correct visas, but ultimately it is the traveller's responsibility to ensure the correct visas are obtained.

CAN YOU HELP ME BOOK MY FLIGHTS TO/FROM MY HOME COUNTRY?

Yes - we're happy to assist you with some friendly pointers on how best to go about booking an appropriate flight (or other transport) as cheaply and conveniently as possible.


Unfortunately we are not currently able to combine selling flights as part of the tours.

IS MY ADVENTURE TOUR GUARANTEED TO RUN?

All of our adventure tours are guaranteed to run on at least some of their departure dates*. When this is the case, the adventure tour will be labelled "Guaranteed" or marked with a "G" or similar.


If you have any questions in this regard, please feel free to reach out to us! Please note and be assured that most tours will run even if they are not guaranteed. However, in certain limited circumstances tours may need to be cancelled e.g. where a the minimum number of passengers are not reached or an unforeseen event has occurred in the destination country. You will be notified as soon as possible if this is the case and we will do our very best to accommodate your resulting changes. At very worst, your deposit can be held by us until you are ready to book a different date or another tour as per our Rolling Deposit policy! Please see the Booking T&Cs for more information about guaranteed bookings, Rolling Deposits and minimums required.
